(25 Mcg/Tab Each Bottle contain 50 Capsule)

Liothyronine sodium is a synthetically manufacturedprescription thyroid hormone. It specially consists of the Lisomerof the natural thyroid hormone triiodothyronine(T3).Thyroid hormones stimulate basal metabolic rate, andare involved with many cellular functions includingprotein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism. Liothyroninesodium is used medically to treat hypothyroidism, acondition where the thyroid gland does not producesufficient levels of thyroid hormone. Hypothyroidism isusually diagnosed with a serum hormone profile (T3, T4, &TSH),and may manifest itself with symptoms including lossof energy, lethargy, weight gain, hair loss, and changes inskin texture. T3 is the most active thyroid hormone in thebody, and consequently liothyronine sodium is consideredto be a more potent thyroid medication than levothyroxine

sodium (T4).Bodybuilders and athletes are attracted to liothyroninesodium for its ability to increase metabolism and supportthe breakdown of body fat. Most often utilized during

contest preparation or periods of “cutting”: the drug isusually said to significantly aid in the loss of fat, often onhigher levels of caloric intake than would normally bepermissive of such fat loss. To this end, the drug is alsocommonly used in conjunction with other fat loss agentssuch as human growth hormone or beta agonists. Someusers also ascribe an ability of thyroid hormones likeliothyronine sodium to increase the anabolic effect ofsteroids. While in theory these drugs may support thegreater utilization of protein and carbohydrates for musclegrowth, they are not widely proven or accepted for thispurpose.

When used to treat mild hypothyroidism, the typicalrecommended starting dosage is 25 mcg daily. The dailydosage then may be increased by no more than 25 mcgevery 1 to 2 weeks. The established maintenance dose isusually 25-75 mcg per day. Once a day administration ofthe full daily dose is usually recommended. Althoughliothyronine sodium is fast acting, its effects may persist inthe body for several days after discontinuance. The usual protocol among bodybuilders and athletestaking liothyronine sodium to accelerate fat loss involvesinitiating its use with a dosage of 25 mcg per day. This

dosage may be increased by 25 meg every 4 to 7 days, usually reaching a maximum of no more than 75 mcg perday. As in a medical setting, the intent of this slow buildupis to help the body become adjust to the increasingthyroid hormone levels, and avoid sudden changes thatmay initiate side effects.

Cycles of liothyronine sodium usually last no longer than6 weeks, and administration of the drug should not behalted abruptly. Instead, it is discontinued in the sameslow manner in which it was initiated. This usually entailsreducing the dosage by 25 meg every 4 to 7 days. Thistapering is done so that the body has time to readjust itsendogenous hormone production at the conclusion oftherapy, and to avoid the onset of side effects.
